Pearl “Percy” Adams, aka Fishergirl, is going this year as Julie Adams’ character from The Creature of the Black Lagoon complete with a Gillman puppet animated by Percy’s telekinesis.

Percy’s always loved the retro, be it superhero legacies like the Fishermen or classic horror films like Creature From the Black Lagoon.

Some Thule dislike Creature because they see the Gillman as a monstrous parody of their race, but not Percy. As a human/Thule hybrid, she’s always felt torn between two heritages and identified with the misfit and lonely human/fish hybrid Gillman. Creature from the Black Lagoon became one of her favorite movies and Gillman one of her favorite movie characters.
